About this album

Classics & rarities: Dimitris Anousis solo accordion. This album is a collection of famous and favorite classics as well as rarities in new amazing original arrangements for solo (piano) accordion, made by the accordionist, pianist, composer and arranger Dimitris Anousis. Beloved transcriptions of works by Carl Maria von Weber, Franz von Suppé, Julius Fučík, Camille Saint-Saëns, Erik Satie, as well as original arrangements recorded and published for the first time, like the melodious “Serenata” by Pietro Mascagni, the traditional Spanish dance “La Cachucha”, the explosive “Danse rituelle du feu” by Μαnuel de Falla etc.

Original arrangements -an enrichment to accordion repertoire-, made from an accordionist for accordionists, written in a understandable and correct way for the accordion, to have an orchestral feeling while playing, not for the pieces to sounds “poor”. Dimitris Anousis arrangements are from a broad spectre of musical genres, from classical to 21st century contemporary music and are played worldwide. You can discover his arrangements in sheet music e-shops online, as well on the links below.
